Re: sounds like a ski pole scratch?

you can mix epoxy with a red and blue tint compatible with epoxy and put it there so it prevents water from going inside the fiber. N. Thanks for advice. I bought some white epoxy putty and will try this. Looks don't count for machos :D so I don't care, if it will be little bit whiter than rest of ...

Re: hehe :)

I swear i did NOT pay him! Then how much you charged for testing? If nothing, then: average board time is said to be 100 riding days, Swoard costs ca. 800€, so it makes 8 € per day. Ergo: if you gave board for one day free, then it would be equal to payment of 8 €. Not bad for such good r...

the topsheet is ICP, its a great material that has a lot of dampening effect on the board. Its weakness is it scratches when encountering skiies etc. But its so much lighter than ABS and dampening that we don't want to change it. How could topsheet damage be fixed? After carving camp I noticed tops...

No EC here

Only huge video files, crappy quality, bad riding technique, strange music & no booze! If still interested, then take look at my homepage, where I put some carving, euh  , showboarding videos of me from Carving Session @ Aspen. http://www.aetec.ee/fv/vkhomep.nsf/pages/Aspen/ And if p...

The INTEC system is totaly unsuited to our smooth style and our stance. I suppose it works with a narrow boards and high angulations. But anyway, saying that it is more comfortable than a standard bails system is wrong because what is gained during the short moments of putting on and taking off the...

In my Raichle i have a screw to choose lateral flex possibility of the boot. What is your recommendation about this setting. Should i have the screw open to allow the boot a lot of lateral flex or is it then too felxy for riding? I don't think that it is for adjusting lateral flex, it is for boot c...

Thanks

This wearing is normal and won't go too much further. The reason is that when the board is new, the base and the edge have the same sharpening due to the machine that sands the edge of the board. but of course, the base material is soft and won't stay sharp a long time. When it is round this wearin...

So far all the people, who have said anything about Swoard, have said only good. I don't think that this happens only because they don't want to look like fools for buying such expensive yet crappy board. :D For some reason Swoard affects much attention, I haven't heard, that someone claims, that e....

I guess the Swoards aren't as good as everyone says. No, of course not, they are much better :D Talking seriously, I agree with all the praise toward Swoard, I had tons of fun with it and my riding seems to be much improved since I switched from Silberpfeil to Swoard. Now I agree with folks, who sa...

I've created macro image of given area: https://www.extremecarving.com/attachments/swoard/edge_wear.jpg This is image of front-end of my heelside (I'm regular, so it's left side). Hopefully it explains better, what I tried to say. Of course it is not so big, as appears on image :D, but quite noticea...

One restriction with Silberpfeil is its short turning radius: with such board turns happen very quickly and your timing should be very precise and fast, otherwise you'll build up tremendous speed on steeps and lose ability to carve at all. Additionally Silberpfeil is quite stiff (although newer mode...

Swoard base/edge wear..

Being happy Swoard rider for 11 days now (2 days in Finland's hardpack/ice and 9 days in Aspen champagne/packed powder 8) I noticed that board's base is weared a little bit out on the edges, right before the metal edge starting. On heelside it is weared out more ( , does it indicate, that I g...

Raceboard

You can't find any wide racing board: racing boards have different target than freecarving: racing does not require turn finishing (so there is no need to hold your edge whole turn), edge-to-edge should be fast (=narrow board) etc. So only option is to find freecarving board. And closest to swoard y...

Already green

Damn, I probably should skip this forum reading for some time, otherwise I'll cancel my Aspen trip and come to Zinal instead :) I'm quite sad, that this event is same time, as carving session in Aspen, otherwise I'd come to Zinal. But in my mind I'll be with you! (at least on Saturday and Sunday, on...
