Swoard

Hello and Welcome Or should I go for the swoard...? My current setup is a F2 speedster with race titanium bindings (can still use them) and Burton race boots. Active on a race/carve board for over 15 years. With your experience I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to buy a Swoard, even if you had limite...

Hi Hans My friend Stan will buy your board :D I have agreed to help him organize this deal via PayPal etc. I have sent you a PM. Stan is checking his weight to make sure the Hard is a correct match for him. I will be out of town January 4, 5 and 6, but I will try to check my e-mail while away (not r...

Hmmmmm, a lot of views but no replies. Here is one more attempted to spark a bit of interest, and hopefully a few replies, in this topic. Gentlemen, let us hear your opinions! A few years ago I e-mailed the three main North American custom board builders (Chris Prior-Prior Snowboards, Sean Martin-Do...

Lower Binding Angles

Here is another thread that is discussing how racer settings are now becoming similar to EC settings. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=17530 It is my understanding that guys who are racing, especially at the upper levels, are going with a little wider boards and lower stance an...

Pogo LongBoard

Hi Hans It has been quite awhile since I have posted, but I visit here and bomber often :) Thank you very much for the Pogo Longboard feedback. I did a search and read some of your past posts on this board, I would LOVE to try it. It is a beautiful board to look at with a very cool shape. I was amaz...

SG Cult

Thanks Ben

I had not heard of this board.

Here is the link:

http://www.sgsnowboards.com/

The nose, tail and general shape of this board appear to be like the boards I mentioned in group one, the Dupraz, Pogo and Prior Spearhead.

Cool!

Freeride Board - Ultimate Versatile Design

Imagine you could take only ONE board to the mountain, which board would you choose? For this discussion imagine that the conditions would always be either hard moguls or powder riding in tight trees , what board would you want? Would you use a hard or soft set-up? You are standing at the top of a ...

175M vs 175H

Hi JCvanDoorn Several years ago I asked Jacques this exact question as my weight, on a good day, is right in the middle of the 175M and 175H range. I LOVED my first Swoard so much that I ended up buying a second Swoard. I decided to get both the 175M and the 175H so that I could better match my weig...

Burton Physics

Welcome Tomic I know exactly the problem you are talking about, I think it is a design flaw with the bindings. I wasn't able to 'fix' the problem, but did really reduce the number of times it would get stuck during a day of riding. The first thing I did was use wet/dry sand paper to REALLY smooth an...

Rear Binding Heel Bail

Hi Istvan

I have not had any problems with the shoulder bolts, only the bails. I always seem to break the same bail in the same location on the bail.

The heel bail of the rear binding is where I have problems.

Broken Ti Bails

Hey Harald I wish I had better news for you, I have broken a set of TD2 Ti bails. I think they MAY have lasted a bit longer than the standard steel bails. I am at the point where I assume every bail will break. I make sure that the front binding has the newest bails as it is easier to control the bo...

Hi For a variety of reasons the groomed snow where I ride is often really soft , guess this is much better than having to ride ice all the time. Regardless, I do my best to EC in soft snow anyway (picking my spots as Nils and Harald have advised). I too have found that staying centered on the board,...

Transitions ... the KEY

Hi Zajda Nice smooth style:) I agree with the other forum members advice with regards to the leg action, it almost looks like your boots are not letting you bend your knees 'easily' enough. I would, however, suggest you take a closer look at your transition(s) and how they are directly related to th...
