Re: Hardboots

May be you can give us a hint with the wishes you have according the boots, may be I can help you out since I have a pair Northwaves .900 size 26.5 in spare. - with what purpose do you ride (ex.carving, racing, carving) - does the boots need to be superstiff or must be super flexible - size - stepi...

Which hard boots?

Hi all I know that question has been asked, but I really can't find a complete and recent answer. So here we go: What hard boots do you ride and which one would you recommend? My Raichle 325 decompose... so I need new boots, it seems. I wasn't overly happy with the Raichle (alias Deeluxe), mainly be...

I guess that's individual

Oh, well - I don't know. It's just that the Swoard fits my needs and skills perfectly. It was probably good for me to have a less stiff board (I'm quite tall, but rather light), so I always had troubles getting the harder boards through the turn. I had a blast, too, but wasn't happy with it either -...

Yet another SWOARD 2D 3rd gen. "personal" review

Hi all I promised to provide a short review after the first days, so here it is. Keep in mind that this is my personal feelings and my experience, based on my skills (or not skills)... The purchase and delivery. I didn't see physically a SWOARD before, so it was kind of a hit-or-miss purchase. I kne...

In my self-made board....

For my first and only self-made board, I used a wood core, too., but I don't remember what kind it was... (but I remember that I got a few parts from Stöckli). The result was pretty pleasing (it was kind of a longboard, I invented everything from shape to camber myself). However, the board has a rat...

What makes a board "softer"? (Board-killer LOL)

A question to the material tech pros here (maybe it's in the wrong forum category, but I don't know better). What makes a board softer? I mean, does a board get softer with time (=much boarding), or does it keep the "stiffness" (flexibility) but the board gets "flat"? What happens with much ridden S...

Where do you go boarding right now (Switzerland)?

Hi all

Just curious... where would you go boarding right now - I mean, in Switzerland? What's the cool spots for EC? (I mean, which glacier)?

Cheers

I am still wondering if a 175 S is not better than a 175 M for versatilty purpose because of its shorter radius (and maybe for icy conditions). But then, it may involve a loss of reactivity for the board? My question is based on the current specs of the Swoard. It would be different if the 175 M ha...

So obviously at the moment it is impossible to answer your question. What we need are pictures of both situations: One without nothing, the other one with full carving equipment. :P  That would make it much easier to help you (I'm pretty sure...) skywalker I knew that would come 8O  :lol...

Sorry, forgot that... have it added to the top post as well.
It's 43 and a bit. Or 44, depending on shoes.

Silber, did you try the 175S?

Silber

It seems you're closest to my size/weight.
Did you try the 175S?

Nils, maybe: why not a 168 M or rather H?

To be honest... I'm still working on the Lightning

Istvan Thanks... Sure, they are two different worlds. Still, I'll try. In fact I want two boards of two different worlds. What would I need two equal boards for? And, to be honest... I'm still learning how to tame the Lightning. It's a beast. Extremely fast, extremely jumpy... If the SWOARD is a les...

Naked or fully clothed weight? Poll for right flex, please

Hi all I have decided to try a SWOARD. Thus the usual question arises: Which one. During that question, I stumbled over another... found no answer so far. Namely: What kind of weight is that which is indicated on the choose page? Empty (=no clothes, no nothing) or fully mounted, with boots and all t...
