Hi again Nate The other board that I was using for the test was a Prior 4WD. It also seems to have a few mm of taper. For got to mention this in the last post. The Prior web site says it has 4, but the specs on my board seem to be different. IE-The web site says that the 174 4x4 has a 10m radius, wh...

Hi Nate

The board I was using for my test did have a taper.
I measured the tip and tail of the 171 Prime, it appears that the taper is 2mm.

Too Cool .... Thanks .... I love the program you created. Is there a way to calculate (a general idea) the turn a given radius will make when the riders STANCE SET BACK is factored in. I'm always amazed at how the same radius can draw a different line on the hill, depending on the degree of setback....

Raising the boot off the board.

Raising the boot off the board. For those of us who own big feet and narrow boards. It is generally understood and accepted that raising the boot off the board (NO CANTING, NO HEEL/TOE LIFT ... JUST RAISING THE BOOT) helps to reduce "boot out." Does lifting the boots off the board, for clearance, ha...

Waist Width ... How WIDE?

Does Stance Angle + Boot Size + No Over Hang = Waist Width? Should Waist Width dictate Stance angles..or..should Stance Angles dictate Waist Width? The chicken or the egg. When building and testing your E-carve prototypes, did you find a point where the waist width was too wide? Or is it simply a fa...

Thanks for the tips Jacques When testing the flat vrs lifted settings, I didn’t really spend that much time trying to make the stance more comfortable. I had the screw driver out a lot as it was. Next day I will try your suggestions for comfort. I really like the idea of using the stiff race tongue,...

Jacques

I think it's a great idea. I've wanted a wider carving board for a long time.

How many people would need to order a board?
How much would it cost to get one to Canada?

I'd love to see an E-carve board added to my quiver.

I too tried the stance and board settings that your site recommends. WOW!! Test one - I usually ride well back of center with lots of heel and toe lift, which creates big looping stable GS turns. Next I centered the stance on the board, same angles that you recommended .... but I left the toe and he...

Canting vrs Heel & Toe Lift

In the “Settings” section of this web page the following is written. Avoid any canting pad (set your bindings flat on the board), because it harms significantly the correct body movement and edge control. The pad under the heel pushes the chest in counter-rotation position (facing the nose) and redu...

Radius question - Jacques, Patrice, anyone.

Jacques, Patrice, anyone What type of board specifications (overall length, contact length, etc.) would you recommend to “Extreme Carve” on a board with a smaller (9.5m) side cut radius? PS - The local hills in my area (Northern BC) are very, very narrow and have trees to either side; rarely do the ...
