Re: EC instructors in USA in Vermont/NJ/NY/PA areas?
Joe, Toeside is looking good! Here is what you can do with your heelside turn at home. - Stand 2 feet away from a wall with your back against the wall with your feet angled like on your board - Get into the “Egyptian” position i.e. a) Back of palm of backhand touching your butt b) Front hand palm is...

Re: EC instructors in USA in Vermont/NJ/NY/PA areas?
Hi Jonny, Great advises and tips. Having lived in the Ice Coast, it is true that attempting laydown turns during a crowded weekend is simply suicide, especially out East. Even here in Tahoe, I can only do a few linked EC carves on weekends when I am the first on the lift and it is good for 2-3 runs....

Re: Rotation, backside et angles...
Un truc a faire gaffe car c'est possible de faire la rotation du buste (en poussant fort sur l'epaule arriere) sans que les hanches suivent.
Sans la rotation des hanches, il n'y a pas de rotation du buste.

Re: EC instructors in USA in Vermont/NJ/NY/PA areas?
Bentech, Care to be specific about what Joe/Alex can learn from "mistakes"? Agree with you that the Swoard 12-13m sidecut can be a handful in the very narrow corridors of the East Coast. That said, a mountain would always have some wide trails as well. Also agree one must master the angulation/incli...

Joe, You are good to decypher yomama to Peter Vu :clap2: . Joe, Alex, If you are a first time harbooter, try to master the push pull technique on the green first https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g28cdpnOW5A :chinese: Keep in mind that the EC video with Patrice and Jacques laying it down on the snow i...

Re: EC instructors in USA in Vermont/NJ/NY/PA areas?
Joe, Alex, The very best way to have "professional" help is via a video of you and post them here. That way, your technique will be analyzed by the very best EC riders from all over world and positive feedback will be provided. It is like having 15 EC instructors helping you out at the same time. Go...

Re: Different Styles
Interesting and positive discussions. Need to differentiate between style and technique. Style is a personal expression with respect to our personal feels, body types, personal views of what beauty is. Obviously Jacques has a different style from Patrice even though they have the same technique. Tha...

awesome picture
Those pictures with the extremecarver are fantastic.
If you ever swing by the Tahoe Area, please let me know, we'll have a riding switch party. You have certainly been an inspiring source for me to improve my switch riding.
Cheers,

C'mon Rob, you John and I need to head out there next year. The 2012 dates have been set. We need to represent the North American crew and kick some euro butts....NOT. :D :D most likely the other way around :D :D . Congrats to all Swoarders, the carving level is very high and EC camaraderie seems fa...

Caspercarver, WinterGold, Many thanks for your fakie riding tips. I also never experienced digging the tail with my Extremecarver but the twighlight zone music is playing in my head when I start to ride switch. No such problems with the Dual for sure. If you were to do linked C-carve turns, how can ...

Hi Casper, I have off-topic questions for you. 1) How do you ride a square tail fakie without some doubts that the square tail may dig into the snow and send you over the handle bars in an awkward position? 2) If you happen to dig the tail, how do you fall so that you do not hurt yourself? This happ...
