I'll be able to tell you in a month or so. I am currently building a snowboard that will have extremely high torsional stiffness.

edge change

Another thing I can think of is that you don't edge enough a the start of the turn. Some people are a bit hesitant to throw themselves into a backside, and the result is that they don't tilt the board on the edge enough, and consequently the whole turn is lousy. A way to practice this is to start wi...

I made some bindings with this canting system out of aluminium two years ago, but I used the wrong grade of aluminium and the plate bent.

Your settings may not be optimal, but they won't cause your tail to pop out. Ten to one that it is simply a technique problem. The most probable cause is counter rotation. Make sure you keep your body facing towards the nose of your board all the way through te turn, as you can see in the movies on ...

opinion of locals pleeze

I agree that a smaller resort would be great, with something like a 100km of pistes. But I don't know the perfect resort yet. One of my favorite resorts is Obertauern in austria, it has great runs, good grooming, a good size (120km), top quality lifts, and is one of the safest bets for snow in the a...

start small, grow big

I don't think we need to worry about organisation to much just yet. To start it is enough to agree on a date and a resort to go to. If the number of participants stays small we just go there, ride together for the week and have a good time. If interest is big we can than start to organize more. If w...

Who's wants to join? Some time ago there has been a thread on bomberonline in which many euro's expressed their interest in an carving session in europe, so I'd say, lets have one! We could start off simple by just picking a resort and a date to meet eachother next year. If there is a lot of interes...

2 weeks a year

Of course nothing beats a hundred days a year :) but you can do with much less. I normally get 15-20 days a year and I am a more than decent carver. I think 1 week a year would be too short to really progress, but in 2 weeks you can learn and practice enough without forgetting what you learned last ...

nice site

I did not have time to view the entire site yet, but what I've seen look great. The videos with the instructions are really great, they make it much easier to understand. And I totally agree with your opinions on technique, exactly what I found to work best. I am just not that good and fluent at it ...
