Re: Stance Update

My boot angles or my flexibility don't allow me rotate as much as required on heelside or I'm just too hesitant to committing to the layout. Can you get in the laid-out heelside posture when you are just laying down on the snow? If you can't do it when you're stationary, you won't be able to do it ...

My feet don't get cold, so I wouldn't use them even if it was free.

I use Raichle SB413's with thermoflex liners.

If you put up a poll, I don't see it.

Hardbooter video can be used as an advertisement!

You can be a World Cup competitor, but if you're on the wrong equipment, this is what your Extremecarving will look like: http://hardbooter.com/video/size_doesnt_matter.wmv But if you buy my Swoard for $1000 US + shipping, then this is what your Extremecarving will look like and you won't need World...

Guys, ... I just listen to the interview of New Orleans Mayor, and the guy's determination was just impressive...he deserves to be president someday! Absolutely NOT! The New Orleans Mayor should be fired immediately. Here's why: http://www.opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=110007219 The actions and inac...

If you ever break a TI bail, I would hope that Bomber sells you the bail separately and not need to buy the entire TI binding again.

I've heard of the O-Sin 4807...but where can I get it for $100? FYI I'm 5'8", 150lbs., Mondo26. I assume the 168cm would be the right length O-Sin for me? EBay is the place to get the O-Sin cheap. Last week, there were some that had a "buy now price" of $79, no bidding needed. EvoGear.com has occas...

I would highly recommend an O-Sin 4807. It is the best board that I've ridden in bumps and powder. On hardpack, it carves like a freestyle board. It's a hybrid swallow tail. It works great with plates and hardboots.

In the US, a new O-Sin 4807 168cm can be had for $100.

As it has often been said, it is not really laying down that is difficult. The real challenge is keeping the speed... My only point was to say that I find that this arm position is something that, in my humble opinion still makes a difference between P&J's style and the crowd's (to which I belong)....

I agree that the carver has the right of way, when making wide turns and the person that is overtaking should give way to the carver. I think it's analagous to the pedestrian crossing the street. The pedestrian has the right of way, but you still get hurt if the car doesn't stop. So when the slopes ...

I've switched from the Burton Fish with soft boots to the O-Sin 4807 with hard boots. Riding the Fish on hardpack and on traverses was just too painful with soft boots. The comfort of hardboots was more important than the possible gain (if any) in performance in powder from soft boots. See my extend...

Bowen, it looks to me that you have to rotate your shoulders more. You should also bend your knees more. You also seem to reach for the snow instead of letting the snow come to you. I had some great snow conditions last week in Mammoth, California. I wish I had a camera man to record some of the act...

I was also interested in the Dainese protective gear, but is was too expensive. I ended up getting a Rock Gardn Flak Jacket that was made for mountain biking. Check it out at this site. http://rockgardn.easystorecreator.com/Browse_Item_Details.asp/Item_ID/1/categ_id/1/parent_ids/0,1 I bought the fla...

Now that my snowboard season is done, I surf on the weekends and skateboard 2-3 times during the week. I mostly skate half-pipes and bowls.

A couple nights ago, I was watching the Swoard videos, and thought:

"I like this music, I should put the soundtracks on a CD!" Only for my personla use.

I even like the BeeGees music from the Zinal video.
