This was in October?!
Nice start man!!
I hope this keeps up for you.
In Western Canada, we got some early season snow, but now, it's warm again so I hope it doesn't mess up the snowpack with a weak base layer.

High speed stability? Not so much. As others have pointed out, the nose wants to wander around. Manoueverabilty? It's got that. The precurved shape really wants to turn. On shorter boards used by people who will only have one board, it will work better in powder, but not as well on hardpack. Alot of...

My wife works for a heli ski company called CMH and one of her "benefits" is a week of skiing that she can share with me. The guides on those past trips let me go NoBoarding for a few of the days. The one thing that surprised me the most was the mobility and ease of movement I had. One day, the snow...

Carving without bindings

Hi All; Some time ago I started getting into NoBoarding, or riding without bindings. I promised to share it whan I had some video and now I do. This film was shot last year at a resort near my home that is closed, but will reopen in a year or two. Obviously, when it is open again, it will be groomed...

I have heard...

...that as soon as snow covers private property in the Alps (not sure which country) that you can slide on it without trespassing. If that's true, it would be amazing to ride there, just cutting off switchbacks on the road, or hiking. A NoBoard paradise. Schneewurm: You should take your bindings off...

Thanks for the replys, Boys. I have been looking at airfares from Calgary and it is surprisingly cheap to fly from here to Geneva, return. I hope the snow is on when your event is... It sounds much easier to do something right from the resort. Maybe some of you will want to join me, if the condition...

Helicopter or snowcat riding near Zinal

If I came to your event (which I would really like to do), I would want to get some untracked riding on my noboard or freeride board. Is there an operator near Zinal that does this? The ideal for me would be blue skies for Sun - Mon on my new Swoard, with a monster storm overnight and pow on Monday....

Sorry, Vlad...

I had a last minute work related emergency that blew away my Korea trip. Jeff said you talked to him and I'll make sure I get that stuff off Dan. One good thing that came out of missing Interski was that I got to go heli for 4 days, with a full day of noboarding in great powder. I still can't beleiv...

Leaving for noboarding in Revelstoke, Thursday.
It refuses to stop snowing there. By Friday it is supposed to be fairly clear, with decent snow stability.
This time, I will get some video with no bindings and no hands on the rope.
Surf-style only!

Very smooth already. If you want to make it last longer, try starting the turn earlier. With more speed, keep a high traverse line on your toes. While still pointing across the run, make your move which you already do well. You're just looking to start earlier, so you're already laid out before you ...

Your "uniform" could be your worn-through gloves, jacket and pants. Around here, nobodys clothes have holes in them like they used to when alpine actually had a toehold in the market. My wife just bought a suit from Orage (a Canadian company) that is made of mostly Cordura. I'm jealous of it as my c...
