If you need any help with translation, please let me know. I've been studying in Japan for a year, and I'm handy with the language and I'd love to help! :)

Where in Japan do you live? Maybe we can get some carving this season :)

Re: Carveboard & Flexboardz (small movie)

Thanks for the awesome video. Good choice of music too. Where is that hill? Sometime I will visit you and you must let me get a ride on that board down that hill :-). Concerning some things> Speed Wobble My cousin had a carve board and was bombing a narrow bike trail without much turning, and he had...

Re: weekend in niigata, Japan

(edit: pictures up @ http://homepage.mac.com/mrjamie . They were taken with a cellphone, so the quality isn't too good) Ok! So let me get started. First, I arrived in the Yuzawa area of Niigata prefecture without a place to stay and very much amazed by the amount of snow. Probably a few hundred cent...

weekend in niigata, Japan

I'll be gone this weekend until Tuesday of next week learning and applying carving all over the Yuzawa area of Niigata prefecture, Japan. When I get back, hopefully I'll have pictures. I'll also be able to let everyone know how the board (prior 4wd), bindings (catek olympic standard) and boots (head...

Closest to Axis you can get is Prior 4WD. They even might have some available right away. Thanks for the recommendation, pokkis. I'm curious how close the board is to the Axis, and whether or not it is worth it to spend that much money on the 4WD? In other words, does the Prior 4WD rock, just not a...

Donek Axis

Ok, so unfortunately if I go with a Donek Axis I won't be able to get one until at least the end of the month, which means I will be very sad indeed. Therefore I have two questions: 1) If anyone here knows someone who is selling or willing to sell a Donek Axis (length 167) board, please, please let ...

Of course I will :-).

I have plans to head to Hokkaido (a Northern island of Japan with some of the best Japanese ski resorts and mountains) twice this month and I am looking forward to learning how to carve on snow, and then getting some serious carving in. :)

This is all being shipped express so I will be taking a few days off from school next week, I think 8) thanks a bunch to everyone, especially nils, for the ad...

Ok, last question. Keeping the following in mind: - I have size US 13 feet (31cm). - I want to carve - The mountains in Japan are narrower and more crowded than mountains in America/Canada/Europe -In the end, I really don't care if I'm riding in hard boots or soft boots, I just want a nice ride :) I...

Ok, so after checking out the videos I'm really interested in those swoard boards. Only problem is, I think the runs in Japan are a bit too narrow to pull out extreme carves. That, and the mountains are really, really packed with people making extreme carving quite dangerous. Because of this, I thin...

Ach, I think the translation only provides about half the meaning...As far as I got from that thread, the D1 is a good board for carving, but not for extreme carving?

How about recommendations for boots/bindings?

Dupraz D1

Hey! I'm considering purchasing a Dupraz D1 board ( http://dupraz-ch.com/index_en.php ) and I was curious what opinion you Extreme Carvers had about this board. Also, what bindings would you recommend? I am thinking of buying Northwave concept boots, but I want plate bindings and I am not sure the c...
