nils and marcu , thank you for the replies. :) As far as travelling in Europe, I'm not too worried about that yet, but I will definitely be sticking to cheaper modes of transportation. One option I am considering is buying a bicycle when I get there and using that to travel around. I have had two s...

Travel/backpacking advice (way off-topic)
Hey all! I hope everyone had a good season, and for those of you in the southern hemisphere, enjoy your upcoming season. I'm posting this because I need some advice about travelling in Russia and Europe, and there seem to be a lot of people from Europe around here. I realize that this has absolutely...

[warning: off-topic] surfinsmiley : Just moved to Tokyo, eh? Let me know if you want to get together and do some snowboarding this season (or if you want to get together for a beer sometime :) ). I am still a n00bish soft boots, free-ride boarder using fairly basic equipment (lower end Burton stuff)...

Cool! 8) Thanks for the heads up, raphael ! According to the homepage, it is available in Snowboard shops all over the country, so next time I go shopping, I'll take a look for it (probably on Saturday...need to buy an edge tool and stone). Anyway, a little help with the non-English headlines on the...

Attn Japanese Boarders: Help with Translation
Hello Everyone! I mentioned in the "Where are you from?" thread that I might try to translate the EC pages to Japanese. 8O Well, I have begun, and I could really use some help. I am starting with the Technique pages and am about 2/3 finished with the "Turns" page. However, since my Japanese is somew...

Re: well
Would be a great idea to translate the technique pages indeed :) If you have the time ! Not making any gaurantees, but I'll do my best. Give me a month or so. I'll also put up a post on some of the snowboarding communities on Mixi.jp (a Japanese social networking site) and see if anyone is interest...

Re: Where are you from?
thanks for the corrections. :chinese: You should send a mp to Nils about this translation thing. No problem. Always a pleasure to teach something new. :D I will probably do that (message Nils)...first maybe make a mock-up of a Japanese page, get some friends to check it, and then send it to ...

Re: Where are you from?
We should translate in Japanese ;-) If you are serious about that, I would be more than happy to help. My Japanese isn't perfect, but it isn't bad either. I have been introducing a lot of my Japanese friends to ExtremeCarving (even though I can't do it yet) and everyone who sees it thinks it is awe...

Just to echo everyone else, that was a fantastic video!! the best yet!! Question about the music: I assume "Slalom" is the artist, right? Does anyone have a link to a homepage or something? I tried googling, but typing "Slalom" into Google even with other keywords mainly turns up ski-related homepag...
