How much carve, how much slide?
Bawbawbel, I have a feeling that some might think they are seeing partially skidded turns on the videos because of the volume of spray coming from their boards. Check out Jacques post entitled “Best snow conditions” where he writes: “The snow sprays that appears in extreme carving are caused by the ...

Dear Jacques and Patrice,
I’m curious as to what stance angles, width and lean you guys ride on your freeride boards.

SSBS manual
Dear Jacques and Patrice, I really found the info on Swiss vs. French technique on the CERN Ski club page very helpful (it especially compliments your discussion on counter-rotations) and would love to get my hands on the SSBS Book and CD. Is the SSBS book available in French (or better yet English)...

"calf canting"?
Dear Jacques or Patrice.
On your settings page you write: “Set the same calf canting to both of your boots.” What do you mean by “calf canting”? Are you referring to the “forward lean” on your boots?
thanks for your reply,
Dave

Extreme Carving Boots
Has anyone had a chance to check out the new Raichle AF 700 boots? They seem to have gone to some kind of spring system to control forward lean but I haven’t been able to get enough info to know exactly how it works. I’m wondering if they’ve finally caught on to what Northwave discovered years ago. ...

Jacques, Just a minor correction to your calculations on Rob's stance: - 19.5 inche (=53.5 cm I think) stance width seems to me a little bit too much. Changing this parameter very few can make huge feeling defferences. 19.5" x 2.54 (conversion factor inches to cm's)= 49.53 cm which is very similar t...

Board recommendation?
Jacques,
I’d also like to add my name to the Canadian contingent interested in one of your boards - providing it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg
By the looks of things you guys are on to something with your specs.
