raphael, how much did that undertaker set you back? I'm sorry i don't understand your question. My bad. How much something "set you back" is American lingo for "how much did it cost." So in more plan english: How much did the board cost you? Just curious. Wouldn't mind getting a true swallowt...

This is really the only swallowtail info area I know of, and it seems to be pretty much dried up. It's run my Nils (I believe): http://swallowtails.org/ FYI if I remember correctly there's more to the site than what came be found from the homepage. Oh, no vids, but some nice screenshots/screensavers...

raphael, how much did that undertaker set you back? I would highly recommend an O-Sin 4807. It is the best board that I've ridden in bumps and powder. On hardpack, it carves like a freestyle board. It's a hybrid swallow tail. It works great with plates and hardboots. In the US, a new O-Sin 4807 168c...

Thanks for your input kjl. I had some knee issues the first time I went hardbooting and I realized just now what you mentioned about was probably the cause. Alex, a hardboot setup has to be just perfect for you. You may have had cant and lift issues with your friends setup not to mention stance angl...

Yeah, you are going to need softer springs for your Indy boots. I have a set I could send your way, but the shipping charge would probably be too high to bother. There are a few threads on this forum concerning springs for those boots, so you should be able to find some where you are at using the sp...

Just Ordered Some Springs for my Indys...
After a reading a bunch of threads here found via forum search, I came across this thread a while back: Raichle AF 700 TS are to stiff . I recommend you look it over if you haven’t already. I talked with a guy from the Charlotte N.C. USA. division/whatever of Baumann Springs mentioned in the above t...

I would think you wouldn't really need lift on your rear foot if your boot is flexible enough (i.e. RAB modding for Deeluxes) and, I guess, as long as your legs (i.e. calf muscles) stretch enough. When I skateboard/longboard, my rear heal tends to come up but only when I'm riding more lackadaisicall...

Nice setup Whitey! I just got a pair of Indys in, my first hardboots. Like you, I am also a softy convert. I found the unmodded Indys to be rock hard in their “stock” configuration as expected. I was getting ready to mod them as per the numerous forum threads here at EC, but I noticed my boots didn’...

Ah, I knew I'd seen this somewhere... http://www.catek.com/forum/read.php?f=1&i=1764&t=1751 No, there's no way you're going to be able to do fully push-pull turns fully laid and continuous (EC) with a softy setup. Now you could let the EC style influence your style (I believe positively), but that's...
