Hi Harald, Since a few years we have many indoor slopes in Holland where we can practice our sport. I snowboard at least 2-4 hours per week and during the winter i go to the mountains 2-3 times. Why so many boards? Because i like alpine boards and it's a tick i have...get more boards...try as many b...

hi Hans, We tested the boards in Landgraaf. Lee and i both weigh around 70kg. All Phiokka boards and bindings are available in Holland. Just send an e-mail to Michel@phiokka.nl. He's a good friend of Lee and myself and just got the exclusive distribution for Benelux. De Replica 170 Prototype is not ...

I rode the three Phiokka's also and here is my review: Phiokka Replica 162 The board is quite light and easy to put on its side. Switching from edge to edge is done very easily without any hard work. The board behaves like a Hot: when you cruise, the board is very quietly, but when you start riding ...

Switch carving looks pretty cool!

Like Lee said, we are both training switch EC-ing right now. Pretty strange feeling to lay down a turn fakie style

Together with a friend of mine we came up with a formula to calculate the most ergonomical stance. We took into account: 1) size of hips 2) length of legs (knee down and from hip to knee) 3) size shoes 4) forward lean The formula calculated for me a stance of 48 cm with 1 degree of canting in both b...

When do you guys start with making hotel reservations for the next Zinal EC meeting in January 2005? This year i definitely want to join the meeting, thus need a place to crash for the weekend.

Thanks!

Good morning Istvan, I will also definitely join this year's meeting in Zinal! But like you said, this is one "training" session per year. I am looking for possibilities of getting trained at least 2x per month here in Holland. Driving to Zinal 2x per months is a bit too much (around 1.000 km) :D So...

Training possibilities

Hi Swoard team, I was wondering if you have ever thought about setting up training schedules to training people who are interested in learning the way of EC? Here in Holland there are not many good alpine teachers for advanced and expert carvers. I am looking for a teacher to get me to the next leve...

The Hot is has more width than a Silberpfeil and is less nervous at higher speeds. You could go for the 176 if the 167 is too small...

Which Virus is that? I have a Virus Predator Custom (wooden topsheet). 163 cm and a width of around 21 cm. A real beast in the snow!!!!
