Re: Closed ski resorts due to the coronavirus

No offense. But spreading incorrect and unscientific information (saying a mask doesn't protect you from infection) on a public message board is more irresponsible than promoting the correct way (wear a mask to protect yourself) to stop the virus spreading. :bravo: Your surgeon example is not approp...

Re: Closed ski resorts due to the coronavirus

A mask doesn't protect you from infection. It protects others from you, if you are infected. Thanks for urging panic buying on a public message board. No offense. Your statement must be false. > If you statement is true, then doctors and nurses should not wear mask. > If you statement is true, Hong...

Re: Closed ski resorts due to the coronavirus

Yes, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, other travellers have bought many mask in early Jan & Feb. My advice is BUY as much as you can NOW.

Prepare for the coronavirus to last 6 to 9 months or even longer! Frankly, I am not confident that we can ski next season.

God knows what happen next.

Re: Closed ski resorts due to the coronavirus

For the benefit of "Swoarders", I strongly suggest everyone to wear a mask when you go outside, especially for those living in the urban city. It might look weird in first sight. However there is no need to take care of other people's view as your and your family health is utmost important. I...

Re: Closed ski resorts due to the coronavirus

I suggest everyone in Europe wear a mask when you go outside (i.e. leave your home). This is a very common practice in Hong Kong due to the lesson of SARS virus in year 2003. :wall: 99% of people wear a mask since late January because Covid-19. If someone not wear a mask in the town, everyone will k...

Redline Binding Size

The Redline binding seems great. Any information on the sizing?

Boots:
1) MS 951 Shell A (mondo 24-25, BSL 276)
2) Atomic Backland (Mondo 22-22.5, BSL 248).

What size should I get to fit those boots and still have some room of play to adjust the boots relative to the snowboard edge?

Re: New EC12: the first Extreme Carving boots, ready to use!

@fivat: Yes you are right. As you may know, the present Hong Kong is quite bad. I usually ride in Austria and Hokkaido alone. I guess there is no time for me to try and buy the new EC12 as this season is approaching soon. Therefore, I have to stick to my 951 and let EC12 be my present next year if I...

Re: New EC12: the first Extreme Carving boots, ready to use!

Happy to see growth in EC sport.   If money is not a concern, would the MS951/950 with modified tongue & spring perform similar to the EC12? 951 is made with very hard grilamid plastic which may not absorb vibration as much as PU, however it offers better protection to the...

Re: hardboots for EC: another approach

Anyone can comment on the fitting of the Atomic Backland? How does it compare to normal ski boots or hardboots (such as Raichle, upz) boots? I am always skeptical that ski boots is 1 to 1.5 size larger than snowboard hard boots. How does it ride compare to normal hardboots for EC if spring is added?...
