Swoards in blizzard conditions
Please be nice to your babies. Keep them warm in blizzard conditions. Personally, I’d let them share the bed with me, but their edges are too sharp to snuggle with

Ahh, The old Wild Ducks. I still have a 161TD in great condition! I even have WD plate bindings on it. Great board, insane edge change, but soft. I ended up putting Carbon Snow Stix on it back in the 90's to stiffin it up. The shape kinda looks like a baby Swoard, but narrower. Jacques and his magic...

Does anyone have an extra set of Northwave springs I can buy
Just wondering if anyone has a couple extra yellow, and a couple of blue Northwave springs I can buy?
Associated Spring here in America will only sell me springs if I buy at least 5 of each model, which means at least $60 even though I only need a couple of springs.
Thanks

Thanks Patrice. It seems the .900 spring system is longer than the spring system on my Northwave Nexus boots. Fortunately for me I've found an easy way to make it longer, so I can get a similar range of motion as yours. Thanks to everyone that helped out! Now that I have the Northwave's I can EC bac...

Need measurement off Northwave .900
Can anyone with .900's please give me the measurement length of the threaded rod on the back spring system that is in the middle of the spring? I need the measurement from the pin to the end of the rod. I think my Nexus rod is shorter than the .900's

I've finally scored some Northwave boots! Questions???
Well, after 2 seasons of hard looking, I've finally managed to find a pair of Northwave's :D I bought them from a guy in Laufen, Switzerland on Richardo.ch. They are the Nexus models, black shell, red buckles. They seem to be very similar to the .900's. They have a different look to them than the .9...

UPZ Test Drive
I rode my new UPZ boots this past Tuesday at Kirkwood Resort (south Lake Tahoe). They acted exactly like I thought they would. Way too stiff for EC riding, and not nearly enough forward flex. Frontside turns were OK but the low cuff of the boot along with the thin liners made my shins burn a little....

There is no velcro on the liners at all. The only velcro on the boot is the top nylon strap, which by the way is too long. They should make it about 2-3 inches shorter. I think the stiffness problem is due to the fact that the tongue of the boot wraps around the front of the boot, so when you flex f...

UPZ Boots first look
After a $75 deposit and almost 2 seasons of waiting for my UPZ race boots to arrive, I finally recieved them. When I originally looked at getting these boots I was riding narrow race boards and wanted everything as stiff as possible. I had even purchased Catek step-ins last year to go along with my ...

After reading all the EC and BOL posts about Bordy's review, I thought I'd add my $.02. First, I don't think Bordy will ever like the Swoard as much as most who own one, regardless of board size or conditions or time on the board. Why? Because it's just not his cup of tea. For what ever reason it di...

04/05 UPZ World Cup Race Boot
I need to get a set of new boots this year. I'm tired of using my 10 year old Burton's with my nice new Swoard. Seeing that the Northwave.900's are not possible, I've been looking at the new 04/05 UPZ race boot. They seem to have a similar foward/back spring controlled flex like the Northwaves. Just...
