Re: Copie or Copie, that's no question

Of course they copied the SWOARD, but only the specs not the board. Coiler, DONEK, who else want to float on other mens success, they are all clones (made in :chinese:) with their own characteristics. WTF?!? Donek is made in Colorado, USA, and Coiler is made near Toronto, Canada. Both by hand, and ...

Re: G-Force Boards

The funny thing is that they posted it on BOL - where first responses are obviusly: "It's too wide, man....." Correction: the first and *only* response saying it was too wide was from a European guy who rides Skwals. I think they look like great boards! Good looking specs and sharp graphics too. Ca...

2006 ECES

Greetings from New England! The ECES took a year off last year, but we are back! We'd love to have some of you EC guys come over and test the limits of eastern USA ice and show us how it's done! (Actually conditions are usually quite good in March) Dates: March 5-12, 2006 Place: Sugarloaf/USA Sponso...

interesting, thanks. But just for the sake of argument, what if somehow an asym could be built to the same quality so it didn't twist? Also neglecting the straight-line stability, would an asym theoretically be better or worse for EC/push-pull carving?

Why is the Swoard symmetrical?

I was going to post this in the Swoard forum, but figured it had more to do with technique. So, why is the Swoard symmetrical, or, why isn't it asymmetrical? It's a wide board for use with lower stance angles, right? Seems like that's what Pureboarding is doing, but their board is asym. Do the EC an...

Re: Funny Coincidence

LOL too! :D Note that P and J are 2 letters that marry together very well! Remember the model PJ from Burton ;-) What about a Swoard PJ ? Patrice Fivat Yes of course! I have noticed the PJ coincidence as well. Dare I say this? You and Jacques have taken the torch from them and are running wit...

Funny Coincidence

I can't believe I haven't realized this before now. I just noticed that the end of the latest EC video Lifted, it says "Jacques and Patrice use Swoard..." From the time I was 3 years old until about 8, there was a little girl who lived down the street from me. We were best friends and we had plans t...

awesome

Awesome, congratulations. The production is superb, and I love the music - it almost has a "James Bond" theme to it.

Well Done, and thank you. These movies make me ache to get on snow. As Shred Gruumer would say, "my carvelobium is swollen!"

Another TD2 set-up article

http://bomberonline.com/articles/TD2_setup.cfm maybe this will help? It is true that the tabs can be aligned in any direction you want. You rotate the cant disc to change the blend of cant and lift. If you align the cant disc with your binding angle, you will have all lift and no cant. If you align ...

USA?

Would you consider having them made in the states? I could put you in touch with someone I know with a medium-small factory. He knows what he's doing. He was an apprentice to John Howe, a famous name in ski engineering.

Re: Jack :) you'll be able to try at the ECES!

Important: people who are used to high bindings angles on their narrow board should reduce their angles on a Swoard so that toes and heels or close to the edges. If they are too far away, it's bad because one looses the advantages given by a wide board, efforts are too high and the edge change is o...

Easy, don't sit!

A common problem a lot of people have at first is that they think they need to get low by bending their knees. Not true. We need to bend our knees on heelside only enough to absorb shock and bumps. We don't need to bend our knees to get low. Lean in first, bend knees second. You're probably sitting ...
