in my opinion ,
screw break is caused by 'leverage' or 'fatigue crack' .
this screw is not 'true screw'.
a lot of screw is tighten vertical direction , generally.
but this screw receive power from the side.
It's designed like a 'Peg' .
This 'Peg' breaks easily, 'leverrage' effect from strong bail.

same trouble happen to my binding.
my binding is use only 10 days of snowboarding.

It is my broken bolt (image below).

a lot of same trouble happening in the world ?

reason of release

Yes, toe bail is not release , if it close tight. (maybe) but , toe bail screw become loose .... there is many reasons. Board struggle 'Ga Ga Ga' on Frozen hard slope. big power go to binding in a moment. (...and many of other conditions) I think , it's protect from risk of unknown release , little.

Toe bail rereased by unknown mistake , it is very dangerous!
I have an idea , and try it today.
It is very simple and effective.
Use only String.

In fact , I try more wider stance ( 46cm --> 49cm ) yesterday.
I feel more tire , and more difficult to make quick turn with push the board .
impression is different , only 3cm !
