Ok, thanks I'll have to try that, I think you might be right because I do tend to get fully extended sooner when I'm making a heel turn opposed to a toe side one.

Ya I'm generally pretty good about that stuff. It's not really a falling sensation more of a driven feeling. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it doesn't feel like I have no control because I never lose my edge but I still hit the ground pretty hard :?

smoother heel side (not the same old post)

Hey guys, I realize at first glance this may look like the other posts about people asking how to get a better heel side turn. But I don't have the same problem. I've already gotten to the point where I can lay out on both sides, but the problem is that I am much smoother on my toe side than my heel...

I think we've gotten off topic

Right now the problem is, how can we get more carvers? I think that this problem comes first, because as it stands carvers right now aren't given the attention by other skiers or freeriders that we need. They're not going to change from Kamakazi to caring and respecting skiers because of what we say...

 I really like the idea of the "think globally act locally" I've been thinking about trying to become a carving instructer at my local ski mountain for a couple of years now. But I don't always have the time, and I don't want the mountain to have me training brand new people to snowboard, tha...

well, it is slightly small for a EC carving board, in my opinion, so the snow has to be pretty solid for the board to be able to support your weight. I don't know anything about how much you weigh, so that might not be a problem for you as much. I weigh 210 and I'm 6'2" so I'm putting quite a bit of...

I have

I ride a burton Ultra Prime 168, and I've managed to lay down and link turns. It's a bit hard to do, and you need pretty good conditions, but it can be done. good luck. What helped me with it was to just get as low as I could on the board.

most people ride by pushing their back knee into their front knee, When you put a cant on your board, and I assume that you have been riding with that setting for a while, it made it easier for you to put a flex on the board because it created a shorter distance between your knee's. So, when you set...

How do I get out of the sitting position???

I have been snowboarding for a couple of years now, and I'm pretty good. I have mastered my toe-side EC carve, but, on my heel I always go into a sitting position. I have tried to just straighten my body some to allow myself to lie flat on the snow, but when I do then I always loose my edge and fall...

Thanks guys, I was hoping that was the case. All that means now is that I have another goal to reach. Hopefully by next year I'll be able to do it.

"Euro" vs "EC"???

Is there a difference between Eurocaves and EC carves? I'm pretty new to the sport but I've been pushed and I've gotten really good really fast. Because of that I don't really know all of the information about the sport. I've been told that I Eurocarve now, and I think I know what that means. But I ...

I have been using racing ski boots until just a couple of days ago. I was actually able to do the same thing that most people can only do with snowboard boots, I found that what snowboard boots really did was make it easier to do that same stuff. Another thing that might have allowed me to do so wel...

racing boots

I have a pair of solomon race boots that I use. I used to ride race ski's a lot and every once in a while I like to go back to ski's for a day. I don't really know wheather my boots are too stiff or not cause I've only owned race boots for a long time so I have no comparison. I can ride pretty well ...
