I did pay for the full version. However, I was aware that it was made to show off the camera and the content would high quality, low volume. At first, I was disappointed. But then, I converted the file to Quicktime so I could play it back, frame by frame in HD. This is where I got my money's worth. ...

I've been complimented on my laid-out toeside carve, but from watching video, I knew I was also breaking at the waist. Watching "Carved" frame by frame really helped me with my "breaking at the waist" problem. This frame capture from "Carved" really shows how much you need to bend the knees, so you ...

Very impressive! I think that's the best EC I've seen (besides P&J). I look forward to see how you do at Zinal.

I didn't want to cut up my old wetsuit.

Instead, I bought a pair of soccer shin pads and stuck the shin pad between the tongue and liner. Works great. Much cheaper than Shintronics.

I only use the shin pad on my back boot.

I thought I remember someone posting about the edge coming out of their Wild Duck Knifer? Was the Knifer a board that rode well, but bad quality control?

Earlier in the season, my friend Jay had boot fitting problems with his Raichle SB413's. I think at that point Jay was having second thoughts about getting into alpine. But Jay has switched to Head boots, and now he can ride comfortably. And with the hero snow at June, he was actually carving linked...

At June my favorite run is Deer Bowl. It's great for EC. I just wish it was twice as long.

On Sunday, with perfect hero snow, I was able to do my best EC ever(toeside and heelside) on a Burton Alp 171! I tried to talk my buddy into letting me ride his Swoard for a few runs, but no luck.

Frank, I'm pretty sure I met you at the impromptu expression session we had at June back in Jan. That was when 12 carvers converged on Gunsmoke. I think you were riding a really skinny Virus that day. I was on a blue Donek. My friend with the Swoard will probably be back at June on the weekend of th...

I was at Mammoth and June on March 11 and 12. I was with a friend who was riding a Swoard 161M. This is his first season on an alpine board. Another friend has the 168, also his first season on an alpine board. Neither of those guys post on EC.com or BOL. So just from the people I know, there are 2 ...

On one of the old threads regarding gloves, someone here recommended Burton mittens that had "SNAP" written on the thumb. I followed that recommendation and those Burton mittens work great. The mitten has fewer seams to rip and they are very warm. Riding at Mammoth and the local mountains of Souther...

Re: hmm

interesting james... wondering what the 13.3m radius would be like on the donek...Care to order one so we can have a comparison? :) I've got a 13m radius Donek (with Olympic construction) on order. It is 165 cm long with a 20.6 cm waist. I should get the board in about 10 days. The Swoard 161M and ...

Demos?

KJL,

What other boards did you demo? Did you get to try out the Prior with the titanal topsheet?

Are you the guy that won the limbo contest? If yes, were you riding the Swoard when you won?

How about a titanal Swoard?

Congratulations to the Swiss team and Kessler on dominating the Olympic PGS. I think the Swiss brothers that came in 1-2 for the men and all 3 medal winners for the women were riding titanal construction Kesslers. According to some BomberOnline reviews on titanal construction Priors, the titanal con...
