Re: Inspiring video: SUP foiling, performance with rotation technique
Hello Thank you for the kind words Patrice:) Two ears, one mouth. This is a Canadian saying that basically means listen more often than you speak, or in the internets case ... type. I have tried to get the ball rolling with regards to a discussion specifically about the rotation. I have added/edited...

Re: Inspiring video: SUP foiling, performance with rotation technique
Hello GeGe31 Thank you for your comments in this thread and I 100% agree with your comments about the Carver being more like surfing; I just think of it as cross training that is really fun! I don't quite agree with your analogy of the rotation being different for some of the sports, but am always w...

Re: Inspiring video: SUP foiling, performance with rotation technique
Hi Patrice After so many years, we notice that the difficulty is still to make people really understand all the benefits from rotation technique and proper setup/gear for it. Like surfing (or SUP foiling), one can really drive the board, increase pressure on toes or heels, improvise, PLAY with the t...

Re: Inspiring video: SUP foiling, performance with rotation technique
Hello I agree Patrice, the surfing based rotation technique is the mother of all board sports and has many positive attributes that translate directly to snowboarding perfectly! The fact that Switzerland and the EC web site adopted the rotation method years and years ago as a base for turning a snow...

Dual 2 & ECer Gen5: New Top Sheets
Hello Swoard Team
Really great job on the new top-sheets for the Dual 2 and the ECer Gen5. I like how the new top sheets are fresh and interesting, but at the same time they do not forget the heritage of the original top sheet graphics and colors.
Well Done

Re: An introduction to Northwave hardboots
Hi Johann I did wonder about this, but never did confirm this via our e-mails. As you can imagine I know zero Italian, I also wondered how bad my English to Italian computer translation was; I bet it made Alda laugh! There are many English names that are unisex, my daughter has what was a traditiona...

NW's
Hi Frank
Yes I do!
I love the boots, they are very durable and have stood up quite well over time.
I feel very lucky to have a pair of NW's and the good story that goes with them:)
Cheers

Thank You Alda
Hello I'd like to tell a fun little Northwave boot story, it seems to fit in the spirit of this thread. Before 2002 I really knew nothing about the legend of the NW boots, I had seen them in my snowboard buyers guide, but that was it. The EC site and videos was the first time I thought to myself tha...

Re: Spring system: how soft?
Hi Zelemy I have owned and used the original Raichle Snowboarder, 225's, 325's both with the Ride-Walk mechanism and the RAB spring system. I have used Tongues with 3 different flexes, I have cut and modified 325's, etc. I have used the boots you mentioned a LOT and know what positive and negatives ...

Mobility vs Ankle Protection
Hi Zelemy Nice turns!! VERY interesting boot/spring/no spring set up as well! Really cool how to see your approach and solution to a problem you had. Your set up obviously works great for you. Where in your opinion the moment when the spring completely unnecessary and even harmful (flex too much)? Y...

Re: Spring system: how soft?
Hi Zemely
Do you use one long spring for your frontside turns/springs or are you stacking different springs?
Do you prefer to set your frontside/turn springs with a lot or very little pre-load (springs tightened)?
Thanks
Rob

Hard to believe almost 15 years of Extremecarving, ECS and Swoard is fast approaching! It is also hard for me to believe that almost 15 years ago I started visiting this web site, a web site that has influenced a lot of snowboarders all over the world! I remember a very early e-mail exchange where P...

Re: PE - Pure Edge
Nice!!! As a first season beginner, this is exactly the style of carving that I hope to learn. Is this style the same that is sometimes referred to as bomber style? (Forgive my ignorance on this part, there is way too much for me to learn at this point: terminology, technique, etc) I think you have...

Swoard Extremecarver Pro
EC Pro - Review When you take a group of passionate, talented riders and builders, who live and breath a riding technique and style, who systematically make small improvements to the same model each year for well over a decade, you eventually arrive at a board design that is 'state of the art' and a...

How Low Can You Go?
I compared them to a video I got of myself. Personally I think I am getting there with the +Rotation, but not going low enough at the start of the turn. Would be more than happy for comments. Hi Thomas I am not sure that there is an ultimate truth with regards to getting low at the start of a turn....
