I had a 186cm nitro diablo in the '90s, it had 10m sidecut on the toeside & 9.5m sidecut on the heelside with twintips. It was a great all around board, but mine was pre-insert. The titanium plate under the bindings bent from too many jumps into heavy snow  Also had a 164 nidecker concept asym ...

I bought new soft boots & bindings a few years ago, K2 skylord boots (stiffest they had) with clickers. Used them 4 or 5 days and sold them to a friend. Laces are a pain in the a$$ to use and lack response. I ride twin tip all mountain boards from 159-186cm with stepin plates and Raichle 123s & 124s...

I ride the softest flexing plastic boots in fresh snow, and stiff flexing plastic boots on hard/icy snow. No need for 2 different systems. You don't need straps & laces to butter turns, just soft flexing boots & board. I've ridden plates 100% since '91 in all conditions from steep chutes to powder t...

I used the Raichle thermoflex in my Blax and they are much softer flexing than the original liners, but I like softer flex as I use them off piste in powder & trees as much as on groomed trails. Inuition liners, & Zipfit liners are much stiffer that the thermoflex, google the names & check them out....

Yes yes, right. But if you want/need to use only one alpine (which is Swoard, of course), you can easily take a freeride board and soft boots inside Europe as well. I have been flying many times with two set-ups. Especially in Zinal, it is easy and trouble-free to change the gear during the day. Yo...

Those SHR binding look like the Japanese G-style. Do they use retractable pins like intec, or solid pins like G-style & old Nitro's?? I have been looking for old Nitro stepins but they are rare in the states? I prefer the solid pins over the retractable Intec, the cables fail & the cam inside can fl...
