Thanks Harald, i did not understand what this thread about actually i have no problem to bend a board to do a laydown turns, frontside especially, but my shoulders rotation is a problem - can`t do a proper backside laydown turn.

what is bending? ))) does this not allow to make laydown carves?

Nils, I understand only thing - if hardness of edge material higher it will last longer. But this can not be a very high so edge could be brittle. Nils, it`s important for the guys who rides mostly on icy slopes, so edge need to be hard to avoid frequent sharpening. Those who rides on show does not care, i think.

more hardness - less sharpening, more time for fun.
