Optimization
Jacques, If you are correct in your opinion about technique, then (almost) anyone should be able to Ecarve with properly adapted equipment using your suggested technique(s) from the main site. Can I develop the technique without EC specific equipment? Or, is the technique a slave to the equipment? I...

Technique and Equipment
Hi, Guys! I would like to make a few comments about some of the things I've read here in the forum and on the EC website. First, I cannot hardly wait to lay down turns at my local ski area like Patrice and Jacques do. I'm mesmerized each time I watch the video of you guys riding. Next, I have gotten...

False Alarm
My sincerest apologies to all as to my first post. I received a call today from Milosport and apparently there are no more Northwave hardboots available at all. It was all a false alarm (sigh!). All that hope for nothing as of yet. Can I suggest another option that might be available to E-carvers an...

Board Tech
For those of us who might be at the back of the class, including myself, I would like to ask anyone to explain one of a board's measurements. For instance, I think most of us understand board length and effective edge, waist width and tail and shovel width. The one I don't understand completely is s...

I'm joining in on this query a little late but, I hope to add something to the mix of great gear. I ride mostly soft champagne-quality snow in northern Utah USA. Some days are worst than others. I've ridden from 36" freshies to 4 week old groomies; blue skies to puking snow days. I ride green circle...

I forgot to say in my last post that you can contact Milosport at milosport.com; and northwave.com was up the last time I checked. Perhaps, by some of the 98 listed subscribers to this forum contacting milo, or more importantly Northwave, the word can get out that this boot and other boots are neede...

Hi Nils, Two weeks ago, I contacted Milosport in Park City, Utah. They carry Northwave boots and I asked if they would call Northwave and see if they happened to have any hardshell boots in the warehouse. The Milo guy called back and said that they (Northwave) had a size 9.5US. I said I'd take them....

Northwave Boots
Hello, I'm new to this forum and I've completed my second season riding alpine setups. I've been fortunate to locate a pair of Northwave hardboots and they are on their way from Europe now. I hope to be able to use them this coming year. Will I need to make any modifications to the boots in order to...
