Shipping costs / info about the purchase of a Swoard

Post by nils » Thursday 13 November 2003, 9:34

In order to save long explainations, i'll try here to explain how it works when we ship boards, and how much it costs.

Board cost is equivalent worldwide: 790 euros excluding VAT. The Swiss can however pay in swiss francs: Change rates for euro/Swiss francs will be the ones when we send the money invoice. All other countries are required to pay in euros (be aware for USD/Euro conversion that the euro is strong these days)

Board sold in Switzerland: 790 + Swiss VAT: 7.6% or 60.04 euros
total: 850 euros

All other boards, sent outside of Switzerland are sold excluding VAT costs. The buyer is usually required to pay it upon receiving the board (usually directly to the shipping company, or to the customs authorities). Some countries have huge VAT up to 20% of the total price, some have lower VAT...

Shipping costs using TNT Express: (not definitive)

- Switzerland: 18 euros (via swiss post) - (1-2 days)
- Europe (EEC): 54 euros - (2-4 days)
- ROE (Rest of europe): 65 euros - ( 3-7 days)
- USA/CAN and Asie: 92 euros ( 4-10 days)
- ROW (Rest of the world): 122 euros (5-12 days)

example:
board sent to norway: 790+54: 844 euros
board sent to japan/canada: 790+92: 882 euros
etc...

It is to be understood that we can not know all the VAT's for all the countries, and also that it is normal to ship that way as soon as you export goods!

Ideal solution is to come pick it up in switzerland, for those driving by, or planning a ski trip :)

Nils
