Best choice

Post by mrtko » Thursday 6 January 2005, 22:08

Hi Guys!

I´m reading your interesting forum until now just for a short while.
But within this time i was really amused and very well entertained on the postings and dicussion topics. It became one of the hot spots for me.

I was waiting hard for that news! I think Sword and Virus - best choice for each other. As someone of you wrote already: At the end you should be glad that your old manufacturer got out of order.

I´m looking forward for first chance to buy one of your Extremecarvers

Just some questions for the SWORD Team:
Is there any possible date when the first 3D Pro Models will be available?
Through your prototyping do you expect major changes and enhancements until next saison?
From the protos: Where do you see the differences to the "old" ones - i can´t believe that they will be complete the same?

Congratulations and good luck!

Hi guys!

I didn't mean that the test that was made was biased or anything, it just that after reading the test about two similar boards with similar characteristics and then reading about the connection between the two brands all pieces seemed to fall so well together. That's all and I'm thrilled about it. :D

Bye,

Jakob

Hi Jacques & Nils & Patrice !

First of all: happy new year - I hope all of you had a smooth & pleasant start into what seems to become a very exciting year with these news !

Two questions:
Can you give a hint to the pricerange of the new models ?
Can you provide some details to the intended audience for the two models in terms of riding skills / style / technique (i.e. when should I better wait for the 3D model) ?

Looking forward to see you in Zinal !

Thanks, Jochen

an irony

Post by guitart » Sunday 9 January 2005, 18:45

Felicitation.~~~

However, it's an irony that the Virus, which is well known narrow board manufacturer, will make the SWOARD, which is the fab wide board...

New swoards

Well we have no hint yet as for the pricing of the 2D, or the 3D model because we need first to produce a first round of board to estimate the costs of small series etc.... HOWEVER, we will do our best to make sure the retail price of the 2D is below 690 euros full taxes, and the price of the 3D stay the same.

In terms of riding, both boards have to be ridden to really have an idea of the riding capabilities ( we will do our best to have 2D's at Zinal (175 and maybe 168) so its possible to compare with the actual 3D model :).

But, from Jacques words: the 2D is an exceptionnal board, and very forgiving! It is almost as good as the 3D when vertical on the snow :). He was really excited after his tests last week so we decided to release the announcement !

Gentleman,

congratulations from me as well. This was an excellent decision to have the new Swoard produced from Frank. I am glad to hear that Swoard will continue.

Cheers

Great news! :)

As bowen said, we were talking about who the new manufacturer might be and agreed that Virus would be a good choice.
And when I returned and read this, I couldn't believe my eyes 8O :D .

Best wishes for the future.

Now that is really awesome, I am so happy for you guys!!! Congratulations on this!!!

Funny that it ended up with Virus, I think it is a very promising and interesting combination. I rode Virus boards already and was very happy with the quality and craftmanship, I just did not like the narrowness. So now everyone should be happy - those who like the Swoard-style and those who like the Virus-style :D !

Very very nice.

All the best for the next steps.

2 QUESTIONS

Post by Silber » Friday 14 January 2005, 12:44

Well, then. Everybody is happy!

But...are we going to see the PIMP-MASTER in Zinal ????

And then the real big question: Is it possible to have the topsheet of our SWOARD I treated/changed by Frank to become more resistant to damage?
