Carving a Circle?

Post by bawbawbel » Sunday 24 March 2002, 14:07

Maybe like a skating figure, is this a good exercise on a flat piste to improve your control? It doesnt seem to work on a slope, no matter how much speed you have to begin with.. :(

well u can perform a 360 on a good slope, with rather soft board.. but the G's you take are quite huge, and the recovery uncertain...i can do them frontside sometimes, but never succeeded backside..Welcome here btw ;)

Circle

I just did a (about) 300° on a flat end of a very hard packed piste with my 14.2 m sidecut board... Never with my slalom one. You have to arrive with high speed on a flat and let the board go! Someone say that its helpful to make a flexion and again an extension followed by another flexion during the 360... never tried...
