clothing stripped

Post by Stevenio » Thursday 20 November 2003, 11:39

hello guys,

with all the fully laid carves you probably have a huge clothing wear and tear factor. do you have any special pants/jacket/gloves protection installed or just let the things go to seed and replace them?

regards,

steve

Well thats one solution.....Patrice, you are lucky!!!

We have to repair....

I used some kevlar material on my jacket...and an industrial glue, called SIKAFLEX 360HC....this stuff keps flexible and glues like :evil2:
Took a while to get some experience with that

You look like :wall: with that, but who cares it it works :bravo:

you are sponsored, yeah? who are your sponsors? are you pro-riding for a brand?
anyway, the clothing does tear down fast, doesn't it? it's good it lasts a year given the way you are smoothing down the slopes for skiers. it should be the slope operators who are sponsoring you :D :D

Check the Homepage out ;-) Bottom right!

This season their new name for the clothes (snowboard and ski) will be "Altitude".

For the gloves I use a power tape, also called duck tape. This holds extremely well, and it can be easily replaced when worn down - just add a new layer of tape.

Greetings, Eduard.

Haehh?? What is the difference between just wearing gloves and wearing gloves with some tape around each finger???? I.e., what has putting tape around the fingers to do with breaking them???

Wear and tear

Post by harald » Thursday 20 November 2003, 17:54

After advice from someone in the forum last winter I bought a pair of hand and wrist protectors intended for inline skates but have forgotten the brand (not Salomon, but can look after when I come home). I wear them outside the gloves and they are giving a hard and slippery surface for sliding on the snow as well as protecting gloves and wrists.
For clothes I am now going into the discount sports affairs looking for the cheapest pants and jackets. Previously I bought expensive clothes for good looking and style  W'ill se how that strategy works.

Hi everyone,

Who said that sponsored clothes were included, as goodies, in each Swoard bought ?!?!?

You're running to bankruptcy guys :D

Oh, hope makes live!!!

Hey Nils,

you should read your own page more carefully! *LOL* :vamp:
I will need a sponsor, too. Especially my gloves wear out faster and faster, the deeper i come :rules: My old ones are taped at the fingers but becoming white already at the wrists :wall:

it seems, all the inspired extreme and non-extreme carvers will end up being a sorry spectacle among the stylish recreation crowds with all the tape and glue and bits of plastic tied on sore spots. let's show them some good riding at least! :chinese:
