skiobo edge

Post by tigger » Wednesday 5 November 2003, 19:44

hy guys,
i ve just heared about a new technology to cut a profile (like on a knife for bread) into the edge of your board to make it cut throgh ice
(see www.skibo-edge.com) that sounds like a good idea to me, have you any expierinces with this edge? martina ertel won a worldcup on these edges, so it cant be total bullshit!
has anyone tested it?
would love to hear your oppinion.

thanks for your passion, i love your style

Don't do it!!

Post by ablazespy » Thursday 6 November 2003, 22:49

Hi,

I did not try the this type of edge but heard comments from skiers, it is exspensive and only differs in the competitive area. If you are on a hollyday no self maintenance is possible and if you want to go back to straight edges you will loose 1mm of iron..

My choice I will not use it , but we live in a free world!!

cheers D

Tried thar skibo stuff once on a plasma board....worked like normal....and as it is said...if you have to care about your edges, you have to go to special store where they have the machine to do this kind of edge...

so just leave it....normal works good.....
