Good shop in Zurich

Post by neil_swingler » Wednesday 12 February 2003, 9:25

Was in Hot and Cool border sports ( http://www.hotandcool.ch ) in
Kilchberg yesterday.

They are still selling alpine gear and are remaining commited to it.
They've got F2 boards and Raichle, Head and Burton boots.

I got some Raichle AF600s and had the thermoflex liners fitted so I had
plenty of time to chat:
Apparently:
Head are reducing their hard boot line to one model next year
There are only 3 shops in Zurich selling alpine gear.

They were bemoaning the demise of Northwave hard boots. The guy
who designed them was in the shop at the same time! He claimed
they need to sell 5000 pairs to justify producing them.

They also had some UPS boots (the ones with 5 buckles) in large sizes
(too large for me). They might be ex rental but didn't look heavily used.
The one I saw had the ski binding ledges installed but still had the
FAST stepin adaptor as well!
