ACSS for UPZ RC10 installation question

Post by slayer » Tuesday 21 February 2017, 16:39

Hi all,

When I place the bottom piece against the slot on the boot, as per the picture, in this area, the boot surface not flat, but a curve. Do I need to sand it flat? It is not mentioned in the PDF, but the video shows this area sanded down a bit (i think, picture is not that sharp).

(sorry, the picture comes out upside down)

Hi Slayer,
as you mentioned in your post I sandpaper the part a bit to make the bottom piece fit.

All the best from germany

Thanks Capykiller.

Is it critical how much to take off, or do I just make the ridge fit right-angles to the boot? Would you be able to show a closeup?

Sorry to be 'precious' - I haven't yet drilled holes in expensive boots! :-)

I better go to my storage to find my Dremel! One thing about living in Swiss rented accomodation compared to the UK - toolbox is a lot smaller!

EDIT - now I watched the video again, and turned on the (indecipherable) auto-translate captions, I can see you mention shaving off some plastic. Need to learn more German! :-)

cheers,
Slayer.

Hi Colin
You cut a little bit the shape to get it flat
