Virus Phantom - SOLD
Selling my beloved Phantom because I bought something longer..
Virus Phantom III
length 185
width 19,5
Very rare. Bought the board in November 2005, new and directly from Virus factory. Titanal surface and new "long" nose, which produces a slight "autocarve-effect".
Board is very stiff longitudinally and torsionally, and has in compensation quite little preload, which makes the board run extremely stable and smooth. Preload is btw unchanged since the first day.
Apart from the Titanal I don't know what's in the board, but Frank told me then it's made of "anything that is high-end and costly". To me the board seems to be bulletproof. List price was 1.200,- € then.
Considering the stiffness I recommend the board for tall and/or heavyweight riders who want a board that is demanding but provides excellent stability and edgehold at moderate and high speed extremecarving turns (can also be seen on my avatar picture ), maybe also for race purposes.
Moderate binding angles around 60° are possible, depending on the shoesize.
Board has always been thouroughly treated and waxed about 30 times. There are nonetheless some scratches on the topside from skilift queueing and esp. where the bindings where mounted (will disappear under the binding) - Titanal surface problem.
Board is other than that in technically excellent condition and comes with a fresh stonegrind.
Asking € 500,- plus shipping.
