I also softened the tongue in the front but then 225 ended up being far too soft so I hardened the tongue again. Could you please share how you did that? I used silicone putty (very hard consistency) on the tongue and glued it with silicone adhesive to make the tongue less bendable, increasing stif...

Hi Abrax, Awesome! I've been modifying my BTS because I always felt that the system was somewhat limiting on the forward flex due to the fact that the shaft would bang against the upper case when the boots are fully flexed forward. Not only that, I also found that lower bracket was hindering forward...

I agree with what yomama said in the prev...

If you're looking for wide board and wants to do EC, you might want to consider swoard.... It's 22cm wide, optimised for EC, and with wide waist it is ok for powder. The flex is freecarve oriented but I've been using 168M and the board is versatile enough to be used on soft snow.

If you're looking for EC-oriented boots, I recon you might be better off with 325. - It's hinge mechanism is similar to Northwave .900 boots. - It's the only one of the two boots (other being 225) in the market where the upper shell can fully extend along the hinge axle without any kind of modificat...

For boots, I use K2 T1 but I believe any competent freeride softboots will do...

I'm very interested by SW, but not sell in upgrade parts :x Probably very late this year... Bomber released the spare parts for TD3 about one year after they released the binding. So I guess the pattern would be similar this time. I'm waiting for spare parts for step-in version of SW ( )....

In short: I love it. I've been using TD2 with loosened bail to create the "flex" in the past. The problem was that during backside turn, there was a considerable chatter. The problem is gone! :D The carving is very smooth, I can do better backside turn (frontside turn was always ok for me). I was wo...

I agree. Should be initiated from the shoulder, hip should naturally follow.
It's like twisting.

Youngest I've seen is about 15.

But I agree, most hardbooters I've seen are at least in their late 30's

Thanks for the video Hans! Received :D Fits quite well, but I'm using size 25 boots and for the heel part I'm using the shortest setting towards the centre of the baseplate! So for those using size 24 or smaller... you're (almost) out of luck! Also, with this setup, I have to screw out one of the so...

Funny, I also wear out the rear sole on the outside.

Docrob, I think you're normal, and in fact, ducking out 15 degrees on both feet is considered normal. If you think you're bowlegged, try googling and look at some of the images...

Re: Any thoughts on sidewinder cants with DUAL /Prior ATV ??

I stand duck 15 out both on the street, with little remaining inside menisci or articular cartilage left, but knees not bowed or knocked. Would be interested to hear if the seemingly generally accepted wisdom of 0 degrees front and 3 degrees rear applies here to the Prior ATV and SWOARD DUAL(new to...
