Catek OS2 for EC?

Any opinions on Catek OS2 (non-step-in version) for EC? As with the Catek World Cups and OS, there does not seem to be much change in terms of the dampening ring (unlike the suspension rings on TD2). Know this is an age-old discussion Catek vs TD, but wondered whether the OS2 changed anyone's thinki...

Are you sure? I made the experience that skis as well as snowboards are usually 1-2 cm shorter than their official length and always explained that with the bended tip so that if the board was pressed down completely flat to the ground it would effectively reach the official length. Try and measure...

Toronto, Ontario

Hi drzone! I'm in Toronto, Ontario and usually board at Mt St. Louis Moonstone (MSLM for short). I went boarding there last weekend, but have not taken out the Swoard yet -- I am waiting for the wide runs to open and for my new edge tools to arrive so I can give the Swoard first class edge sharpenin...

Got my Swoard!

I got my Swoard and it is a real thing of beauty! I am waiting till there is good snow coverage before taking it to the slopes -- this is definitely NOT a rock board. Love having the specs hand-written on the board and also having an actual warranty card. I cannot believe how light it is -- I think ...

Check out Bomber?

Oli -- if you haven't already, check out the bomberonline.com site for info or to ask questions as well -- there is lots of traffic in the carving community. Only problem is getting overloaded with advice because everyone has different ideas -- however, few of the folks there are extreme carvers. Ch...

Patrice,

Great review on the f2 binding. I've never had a problem though with the bail getting stuck -- perhaps there is something wrong with the one you have?

What about SnowPro bindings? They have regular bail type as well as the FAST step-in.

I just got a set of SnowPro Race Ltd bail type and wonder whether they will be any good for EC. I already have F2 Race Titaniums (non-intec)

What about the old Nordica SBH boots? I think they are for split-boarding or backcountry.

They are pretty soft -- would they work for EC?

(wish I could get some mondo 26 Northwaves!!!)

Hey Neuffy, I just ordered a Swoard so there will be at least two Canadians with the EC board (Rob Crobar in BC has one already). Shipping from Europe is actually not too bad for boards, I got one last year from Austria via DHL. Arrived safe and sound. Could be just my one experience, but don't let ...

Head Vector

Arnaud,

Just wondering where you found those Head Vector boots. Sorry I can't help with your binding situation, I use F2s and haven't had any problems (yet!).
