Re: MHO
O.k., although I think there was a lot too much noise about it, I will try to point out, what I think about this review and what made me angry when I read it the first time and still does. Nils wrote at bomberonline.com: I personnaly think bordy's review was fair and nicely written That's the point...

Ok, so I am way behind.
I have not checked the EC message board for a long time but I am a fan of the carversau videos and have been following them for over a year. I would have sent an email to tell you guys that I enjoyed them but since it was in German I just thought that the language difference would have been a proble...

Compare your stance to someone elses.
When I was hitting alot of problems with my healside edge I spent hours comparing myself to photos of Patrice or Jacques or all sorts of other pictures. Get on your board in your house again and visualize yourself doing the turn. Drop down to what feels about right to you and then look into a mirror...

Wait for the board first.
You might want to wait for the board to come first and take it out for a test run on your old equipment. I am able to do lay my turns all the way down back to back and I ride a Rossi 171 with a medium flex. The dang board is a bit hard to hold the edge at higher speeds but I would go with what Patri...

Thanks for the quick response. I know that the wider you are the more stable the board is but I was feeling uncomfortable and moved my feet closer together the other day. I guess it is a matter of preference. For me it seems that farther the feet are apart, the harder it is to feel the heelside edge...

stance width??
Can someone explain to me how to measure my stance width? All last season while I was learning I was moving my stance all over the board with various widths. I want to be able to compare my stance to others. Many thanks.

Good resource for such training-program I've found at Snowboard Workout Program by Ron McConnell. Thanks for the information, the only problem is that the website does not have all the information for training available and I could not tell if he has a book out. Do you know if his book is still ava...

How do you stay in shape between seasons?
I desperately want to improve my carving and the one problem that stood out last year was by the time I felt comfortable with my technique, my legs were starting to burn. All summer long I have been doing exercises to gain strength in my leg that include lunges (no weights/large amounts), squats (we...

Helmet... goooood!
I was at Park City ski resort one day last year and my friends and I were trying to get from one run to another. In doing this we had to traverse a run with hip high moguls and a cat track that ran threw the middle of it. We used to think it was funny to lean back on our boards a little bit and use ...

Burton Race Bindings
Last year was my first year on a carving board. I purchased most of my equipment at Big Bear, in California, during a large ski swap (more like a mass of garage sales and inventory blow-out of unsold equipment from shops) anyway, not knowing much about equipment I came home with some Burton Race bin...

I love high speed internet connections; I also love my college because that is my access to it. When I am not at work, I am at school the best thing to keep me motivated is flipping back and forth from my report to the carving movie. What would I do without EC on the net
