Hi Nils, I have been in sales for over 4 year and am currently marketing manager with a Dutch Internet Service Provider. Furthermore, my partner is a specialist in building websites and online shops. Together we should be able to launch this project. If you get to speak to J&P.....i am interested in...

Hi cmachine,

In the winter 2002 video J&P make a 360 carving turn. I guess it must be possible, but you probably need quite some speed so you wont' lose momentum in the turn.

Soon there will be an online boardshop in Holland

Hi all, Since i am a carver and the fact that there are no good shops in Holland to buy alpine boards and related stuff, made me decide to set up a online boardshop to accomodate the Dutch carvers and to keep our sport alive. Besides buying stuff in the shop, i will also provide you with information...

Hi Melvin, Last Saturday i went to Bottrop again. I arrived at 8.30 AM and nobody had hit the slope yet. I was the first one! I love Bottrop, because the slope is wide (around 35-40 metres) and long (650 metres). Furthermore, for 25 euros you can board all day (9-0.00). The snow conditions is very g...

Hi, Denis and I were already boarding together, so i guess you now have another carver. My location is also The Hague. And since we all live in the same town...let's meet up on Snowworld or meet up in Bottrop where you can find me most of the weekends... Arjan P.s. don't forget about my girlfriend.....

Hi Steve, Geeezzzz...what crappy conditions you have to snowboard in. I understand where you are coming from! To answer your question; no, i don't have my students wear helmets. If you take their own and want to wear it, that's fine by me, but i do not provide them with any. When i teach i will alwa...

Hi Rillet, Thanks for your reply! I guess we pay more attention since we have (or still are) snowboard instructors. Safety of my students is priority #1. Just a few small tips will increase safety, like when stepping in your binding always face upwards the slope so you will see who's coming down. I ...

Stevep, Thanks for your comments! I have thought long and hard about this discussion on wearing a helmet or not and came to the conclusion that the problem also lies with OURSELVES! I will explain what i mean by this: I have been skiing for 20 years now and have been snowboarding for more than 10. I...

Hi Guys, I am currently using F2 Titanium intec bindings and must admit that though there are made from Titanium they are very flexible. I bought some Deeluxe Indy boots this weekend and tried these boots together with the bindings on my Speedster RS. In one word: amazing! The boots are pretty flexi...

Harboots....softboots....i always say: softboots are for people with sensitive feet :-) Seriously, where i taught people to snowboard i always recommended to use hardboots, since the board control is better, HB give better support to the feet, etc. I guess HB are not widely used, because when people...

Hi Eltrut, Since i am also a surfer i can explain you the difference between the snowboard and surf technique. With snowboarding, you use your front foot (besides the rotation of your upper body) to initiate the turn. In surfing this is down with the rear foot, which is also called the power foot. S...
